It Occurred To Me…
Justin Harrison just started following me on Twitter (@justinharrison). I don’t automatically follow everyone who follows me. I think having less followers who are in my target markets is more important than having 90 gazillion followers just for bragging rights. So I popped over to his site to check him out. Turns out Justin is another Internet Marketing Business Person sharing his expertise with others. Now there are a lot of these types. Some good. Some, well…not so much. I think Justin might be one of the good guys. I listened to his March 26 podcast (I love Podcasts!) and I liked what I heard.
What I did not hear was how to get rich quick, overnight, no investment, no effort, or any other variation on that theme.
What I did hear was some good common sense, roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty advice and I recommend you check it out.
What does it take to succeed in the Internet Business world? Well, most of it is the same as what it takes to succeed offline. You need your natural abilities. You need learned skills to fill in the gaps in your abilities or you need to hire those skills. All of which Justin and his co-host Luis point out.
But here is the missing piece in my opinion -
Desire
Your skills and abilities won’t matter at all without desire – A never give up, no matter what it takes (legally, ethically and morally, please), I know I can do this belief in yourself because this is your passion and it will help the world desire.
I know plenty of people who have the talent and knowledge but fail because they are only focused on themselves and making a buck. They don’t have the DNA to do something and be a part of something that is truly bigger than themselves. Because that’s what a truly successful business is – it’s about what your product or service does for your customers. It’s about who they become because of what you do.
That’s what I think.
What do you think?
