Traffic Geyser – A Cautionary Tale

I have a client who has started a really terrific site. He has some great ideas and there is a ton of potential. And it is a site that is made for promotion via Traffic Geyser. It’s as though Traffic Geyser were designed just for his site. It’s a perfect fit.

So what’s the problem?

He hasn’t made a million bucks yet. And we just started.

Ok, maybe that’s not quite fair. He wasn’t expecting to get rich quick but he didn’t have realistic expectations either. As a Traffic Geyser Certified Virtual Assistant have seen that with a lot. Traffic Geyser puts out some excellent content when they do their product launches They truly give you a blueprint to follow to create your own online business. But when they do a launch what is their goal? To sell their product. No, they don’t make guarantees and “pie-in-the-sky” promises they can’t keep. They tell the truth. But they also give it some really great window dressing. And a lot of us hear what we want to hear.

So – what’s the truth?

Traffic Geyser is a terrific tool. Actually it’s more of a tool box. You can literally create and run a business online with it. It’s (almost) a one-stop shop.

Ok, so what’s the bad news?

Well, there isn’t any, really, but you do need to be realistic.

Reality Check

1. When Mike Koenigs at Traffic Geyser talks about the results you can get and how you can get them he is giving you guidelines and possibilities. There is no guarantee.

2. Any long tail keyword that has low competition will work well but if there isn’t any traffic coming to the site then it does you no good.

3. If there is a lot of competition for your keyword and you have a new site then it’s going to take some time to get to page 1 on Google – if you get there at all. Again – no guarantees.

4. If you have your keyword in your video you probably will rank. Probably. Not always. And there is no guarantee of a page 1 rank.

5. It’s best if you have a lead page, an offer, and a follow-up system (autoresponder).

6. You have to base your keyword research on what your offer is.

7. You must constantly add quality, relevant content. This is a key point – constantly and consistently submit videos, podcasts, blog posts, and articles from one video.

8. If you do not have audio attached to your video you can not turn it into podcasts and articles.

9. And last but not at all least – if selecting the right keywords were simple, everybody would be doing it! This is why people charge a high rate for SEO.

As another Traffic Geyser Certified VA put it, “You have to remember this is like playing poker. Sometimes you have lady luck on your side and sometimes you don’t.”

The important thing is to keep playing – keep learning, keep testing and keep going!
